Well the season of festive cheer is upon us and as usual everyone seems to be going mad!! Why do my family have this need / desire to try and be the one who buys the biggest or most expensive present, cant they actually get a reality check and realise that its about the thought.
Sorry rant over its just that I sometimes wonder where all this modern technology has got us? Do we really have things easier than the good old days! (I think not) Life seems to travel now at such a fast pace, when did we forget to slow down and listen and see whats going on around us, when did we stop caring about our neighbours?
I spent this morning with 30 or so children walking to school singing carols, every morning for the past year a little old man and his wife have waved to the kids so on Thursday we plan to set off earlier and stop outside his house and sing them a carol.... thats what Christmas is all about the little things, time taken out to make someone smile, to bring someone a little joy. ![]()

aaaw that is a lovely thing to do and I have to agree with you
Most of the people on my side of the family are completely strapped for cash this year so we have all agreed not to get anything for each other.
We have all put money together to get a nice big present for my nephew but we are not having anything and I like it that way
It actually feels less pressurised to be honest.
